West Des Moines has plenty of pizza, from New York slices to coal-fired chains. Franka is the wood-fired option a few minutes north: handcrafted dough, fresh local produce and an open fire, in a sit-down room with a full bar.

It is an easy stop before or after an afternoon at Jordan Creek or Valley West, and close enough to the Mills Civic Parkway offices for a working lunch.

What to order

First visit? Start with the Margherita to taste the crust, then try the Thai Chicken or Truffle Mushroom. Every pizza comes in 10" and 14", with gluten-free crust for $2 more.

Breakfast & brunch

Order online through Toast and pick up at 12695 University Ave Suite 100, Clive; there is ample parking in front and along the patio side. Check Toast at checkout for delivery to your address.

Catering delivery here falls inside our 10-mile zone, so the transportation fee is a flat $20. Packages serve 5, 10 or 20+ guests: pizza catering or send an inquiry. For a sit-down meal, reserve a table.
